Nitrotick Federation · v2.0

Execution across organizations — without surrendering sovereignty.

Nitrotick Federation is secure multi-tenant federated execution for banks, insurers, manufacturers, public institutions and AI agents. Each participant keeps its own node, data and authority. Only signals, claims and cryptographic proofs cross the boundary.

The problem

Your cross-boundary scale limit is already hard-coded

Critical multi-organization workflows still run on raw web APIs, e-mail and spreadsheets. Workflow orchestrators are excellent — for internal microservices. They were never built for multi-tenant cryptographic governance between independent entities.

Meanwhile stablecoins and public ledgers solved simple token transfer, but moving money on-chain does not synchronize business state. Personal data, business logic and authority still live in fragmented off-chain systems.

What raw API-to-API integration costs you

  • No native trustEvery partner integration is a fragile, point-to-point build without cryptographic evidence.
  • Stale credentialsAuthority is checked once, then assumed — long after a mandate or certification has changed.
  • Over-sharingTo involve a partner, entire customer or product records are sent across the boundary.
  • Unprovable contributionWho did what, under which authority, is reconstructed later from logs, e-mail and memory.
The federation model

From identity to settlement — every step verified

Partners are not just another API endpoint. They are independent organizations with their own identity, rules and trust domain. Federation turns their collaboration into a governed, evidenced chain.

  1. Identity
  2. Trust
  3. Capability
  4. Delegation
  5. Signal
  6. Execution
  7. Evidence
  8. Settlement
Nitrotick federated workflow sequence A client or AI agent starts a workflow at Institution A, which executes local business rules and performs a secure federated hand-off to Institution B. Institution B validates policy and the state transition, commits a cryptographic proof to the audit and evidence trail, and returns the final verifiable state. Client / AI Agent Workflow initiator Institution A Nitrotick node (tenant A) Institution B Nitrotick node (tenant B) Audit & Evidence Immutable log 1. Start workflow request 2. Execute local business rules 3. Federated hand-off 4. Validate policy & state transition 5. Commit signed proof 6. Final verifiable state 7. Result + proof receipt
Step 3 bypasses traditional API endpoints: state transitions and cryptographic metadata move over the Nitrotick Federation Protocol.
Capabilities

Built for governed collaboration between sovereign parties

Onboarding & mutual authentication

Institutions join the federation with verified identity and mutually authenticated channels — in hours, on the cloud infrastructure they already run.

Bilateral trust

Every relationship is explicit. Trust between two parties is established, scoped and evidenced — never implied by network membership.

Capability admission

A participant can act only with an active capability for the specific operation. Admission is verified at the moment of execution, not from a stale snapshot.

Delegated, time-bound authority

Authority is delegated with explicit scope and expiry, so partners receive exactly the power the next step requires — and nothing more.

Replay protection & idempotency

Every federated command is protected against replay and duplicate delivery. Retries are safe; side-effects happen exactly once.

Provenance of every execution

Each hand-off commits signed evidence on both sides of the boundary, so contribution, authority and outcome are provable years later.

Recursive authorization

Dynamic ancestry and atomic revocation

Real federations are hierarchies: a group, its divisions and each division's own suppliers or partners. Authority changes while work is still in flight.

  • Capability intersectionThe effective capability of a participant is computed across its federation ancestry — a child can never exceed what its parents allow.
  • Re-verified at execution timeAdmission is checked when the step executes, not when a credential was issued.
  • Atomic revocationWhen a partner loses authorization or certification, every active grant tied to it is revoked in one operation, with a forensic evidence record.
  • No system-wide shutdownTraffic from the isolated member stops; healthy peers keep operating and route around it.
Federation hierarchy with atomic revocation A parent organization delegates to two divisions, each with suppliers. One supplier has been revoked; its grants are cut while all other participants continue operating. Parent group root authority Division A delegated scope Division B delegated scope Supplier 1 active Supplier 2 active Supplier 3 revoked Supplier 4 active Effective capability = intersection across ancestry Revocation cascades atomically · evidence recorded · healthy peers unaffected
Authority is re-verified at execution time across the whole hierarchy.
Signals, not data

Share opportunity and authority — not records

Classic digitalization shares data. Nitrotick Federation shares signals and delegated authority. Data is disclosed progressively — only to a participant with an authorized business reason, and only in the scope the next step needs.

That is need-to-know and data minimization by design: every participant stays identified to the owner and to the regulator, every action is evidenced, and personal data stays in its system of record.

  1. SignalA partner learns an opportunity exists — the context it needs, without the customer's identity.
  2. AcceptanceThe partner accepts; Nitrotick verifies capability, availability and routing rules.
  3. Authorized interactionA scoped, time-bound capability unlocks the minimal parameters for the task.
  4. Result & proofThe partner returns a result and signed evidence — not a copy of the record.
Positioning

Why not APIs, orchestrators or a public chain?

Each is valuable in its own domain. None was designed for governed execution between sovereign organizations.

Use cases

Where federation creates value

Bank ↔ bank ↔ fintech

Cross-institution claims, settlement workflows and immediate revoke signals that halt fraudulent claims network-wide in milliseconds — before capital moves over stablecoins, CBDCs or SWIFT.

Insurer ↔ agents ↔ brokers ↔ banks

Leads, cross-sell, renewals and claims shared through signals and delegated authority. Relationship ownership and each participant's contribution stay provable — without handing over the customer.

Manufacturer ↔ sites ↔ supplier tiers

Engineering change, supplier validation, manufacturing approval, tool release and quality confirmation as governed transitions — evidenced on both sides of every boundary.

AI agent ↔ AI agent

Autonomous agents delegate work across institutions as bounded actors. They propose; execution authority and cryptographic hand-offs remain in the governance layer.
